Bali has welcomed me with warm weather, pristine landscape, delicious plant-based foods and friendly people. I wasn’t sure what to expect and relied on Google and Instagram to show me what might be. It’s everything it’s made out to be. Between the jungle, rice fields, waterfalls, volcanoes and small villages, it’s definitely worth experiencing over and over again. I haven’t seen all of those things yet but it’s coming!
While being here, I’ve had the chance to slow down a little bit. Stephanie from www.kalicollective.com had invited me to join her and photograph her yoga retreat here at Naya Ubud, Bali. I had to say “yes”.
When opportunity presents itself, you take it. That’s one life lesson that never disappoints! Just say yes!
So far, it’s been an enlightening journey in yoga, self-discovery, and new friendships. The landscape is absolutely incredible, it takes my breath away. I actually get up early to see the sunrise and this girl is not a morning person. If that means anything to you. In short, it’s truly unforgettable.
“Has it ever struck you… that life is all a memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quickly you hardly catch it going by? It’s really all a memory.” ~ Tennessee Williams
And so here we were, making memories in the rice fields of Bali, just before the storm.
